The R4L Custom Zone (DNS) Editor is now live. The custom zone editor is included free with your registration service, so if you have been using an external zone service, you can switch that to your R4L account at no cost.
If you are familiar with BIND zone files, the Zone Editor will seem like second nature to you. The zone editor supports:
- Quick updates. Zones are live within a minute!
- Simple, intuitive, form-based interface.
- Control over TTL and Minimum TTL (caching and negative cache times).
- Auto-generation of the zone serial number.
- Easy addition, 1-click deletion of records.
- SOA, NS, A, MX, CNAME, AAAA, SRV and TXT records.
- Ability to delete a custom zone file to revert back to R4L's default configuration for services.
- Available pre-configured zones can be loaded for commonly used configurations.
- Powerful zone validation lets you know of any errors or warnings in your zone when you save.
You'll find the zone editor under the DNS menu.
